1) IMMEDIATE PLAN
Our immediate need is to setup an Operation Theater in our dispensary. We have enough and appropriate space with an A.C. installed. We want to conduct all operations of eyes free of cost, including 'CATARACT' operations in-house by our eye surgeon. For the Instrumentation, Microscope and other Machinery our requirement is about Rs. 7.5 lacs. (To see the quotations, scroll down the page).
Having regard to the cost involved and there being no Trust Funds, the Trustees request all Organizations and Individuals for generous donations, on which tax relief is also available, so that the equipments and instruments can be installed as soon as possible.
<-- Room space available - to convert into at OT. AC has been installed. Other arrangements have also been made. Only the instruments are to be purchased, as soon as the funds can be collected.
2) NEXT STEP
Once the Operation Theatre runs successfully we plan to start a Maternity Home on the 1st floor of the current building.
The need for the same is huge, as the care and medical aid provided to the nursing mothers and women in the slum areas is dismal, and a source of many infections and a lot of misery.The lack of education and extreme poverty in the area results in a complete negligence of women health, which is something we wish to change.
First floor of the Dispensary, to be developed into a Maternity Home. The buiding currently has only the ground floor with 12 rooms, in an areas of 300 sq. yds.-->
3) FUTURE PLANNING
The Samiti plans to start new activities like providing free basic education to poor children, old age home, vocational training in stitching etc. to women so that they can earn their living and be independent, in due course, as and when circumstances permit.
